A custom,
built-in look is created with deep grain hickory pantry
cabinets. The beadboard style and use of open storage
areas makes this robust cabinetry look at home in a country
style kitchen, dining, or breakfast room..
At left a bookcase unit can hold dishes,
accessories, tea pots, canisters, or canned goods. The
center pantry unit has many options for half-shelves,
sliding shelves, baskets, or racks.
On the right an under-cabinet organizer sits
below a closed unit and a small countertop area is good
for loading and unloading items into the pantry area. |

This
pantry unit is a single cabinet offering a huge storage
area. Instead of a layout as above, this unit can hold
almost as much in a single pantry.
Options such as half- and full
shelves, sliding shelves, sliding wire baskets and racks,
combination kits of all of these, as well as swing out
door shelf kits offer many different possible interior
configurations.
Sizes up to 36" wide by 24"
deep and 8 feet high allow for a tremendous pantry storage
area.

rest of the kitchen cabinets, this pantry fits right in

A common area for a pantry is adjacent
and flowing from the kitchen cabinet layout.
Instead of a single huge cabinet,
this pantry area consists of a number of cabinets. On
the right, there is a countertop area for loading or
unloading items into storage. This is also useful as
an area for canister storage for dry goods. A single
wall cabinet with an under cabinet shelf sits apart
from the rest of the wall cabinets to delineate the
area.
On the left, a short cabinet sits
directly on the counter with a taller cabinet above
it. A pantry area is a good place to sacrifice countertop
space for storage.

A
pantry can be located just outside the kitchen in a dining
area where it can double as a server or for china or silverware
storage.
This unit is made up of a bottom row
of base cabinets, a middle row of increased depth short
cabinets similar to those found over refrigerators, and
a countertop.
Above this a second tier of wall cabinets.
This leaves a 12" countertop space. Note how interest
is created by using the spice drawer cabinet as a focal
point with a short cabinet above. A finished panel caps
off the top of this pantry layout serving as a top shelf. |
